Our Commitment to Accuracy

Travel information changes rapidly. Ferry timetables shift, restaurants close, and "hidden gems" become crowded. At Atlas & Awe, we understand that our readers rely on our guides to plan expensive and highly-anticipated trips. That is why we take fact-checking seriously.

Initial Publication

Before any article is published, it undergoes a rigorous verification process:

• Cost Verification: All mentioned prices (hotels, food, transit) are double-checked against recent bookings, menus, or official operator sites at the time of writing.
• Logistical Accuracy: We verify route numbers, ferry operators, visa requirements, and transit times through official national or regional transit authorities, not third-party aggregators.
• First-hand Photos: Where possible, we refer back to our own GPS-tagged photos to confirm exact locations and physical conditions of a destination.

Routine Updates

We do not "publish and forget." All destination guides and core itineraries are scheduled for an annual review (typically in Q1, ahead of the summer travel season) to update prices, check business statuses, and revise our recommendations based on current conditions.

You can find the "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of every article to know exactly how fresh the information is.

Corrections Policy

We strive for perfection, but we are human. If we publish an error—whether it's an incorrect price, an outdated timetable, or a factual inaccuracy—we will correct it as quickly as possible.
